The Quality Inspection Associate must be dedicated to customer satisfaction and highly motivated in striving to be an integral part of a growing team by creating a dynamic corporate culture where people want to work and want to strive to create better processes and quality in the facility.

Summary (Basic purpose of the job):

An Inspection Associate must be able to effectively communicate defects to associates, leads, and management. Good interpersonal, writing and communication skills are a must. Inspectors will validate that the standards are embraced by Tru Cabinetry associates and are sustained for the customers' expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Check for defects on the Tru Cabinetry Specification Sheet
    • Finishing defect
    • Material handling defects
    • Sanding and machining defects
    • Warehouse and assembly defects
    • Natural wood, Thermofoil and Veneer defects
    • Tally defects on the Parts Per Million forms
  • Verify colors to Corporate Color Masters to assure correct color specification
  • Verify Bill of Materials on back of tags or appropriate paperwork on carts
  • Verify sizes
  • Verify species
  • Verify door and drawer front styles
  • Verify shelf thickness
  • Identify rough or dry areas on parts
  • Insure proper repairs are applied to the part

Required Skills:

  • Basic math skills
  • Attention to accuracy and detail
  • Ability to communicate discovered defects including following the correct procedure for the identification of defects to the repair associates
  • Assist in process improvements for the reduction of defects, reduction of cycle times and the reduction of costs in the Tru Cabinetry facilities
  • Desire to increase product dependability and customer satisfaction
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure
